Hopeful Hearts (“Xinde Xiwang") is a group of foreign women living in Nanjing , China , dedicated to raising funds necessary for medical treatment of children with a heart condition. The children come from orphanages and families who do not have the means for medical care for their child in and around Jiangsu Province in China.

By providing financial support we hope parents and children can remain united.

The Amity Foundation, a charity organization that manages orphan support programs, acts as our advisor and mediator. Medical specialists of the Cardiac Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital carry out the operations at cost recovering level. In cooperation with the hospital and the Amity Foundation we have set up a structure to identify children with heart diseases.

In most cases treatment implies an expensive course of heart surgery and special care. With the surgery their lives and possibilities would improve tremendously. They would have a future, they would have hope and hopeful hearts.

Our work is supported by a broad spectrum of local and foreign bodies and individuals. These include the local government of Nanjing , orphanages, local and foreign experts, artists and the business community at large.
